World Vision Somalia has worked with the children of Somalia, their families and communities since 1992 through a variety of emergency and rehabilitative programming to address the emergency needs of communities while addressing some of the underlying causes of vulnerability in those same communities.

During the last 20 years, the programme has grown to 13 districts spread over three main operation regions, South central, Puntland and Somaliland.

SENIOR PROJECTS COORDINATOR
The position will help the Operations Manager to coordinate engagement with government and other stakeholders towards successful promotion of child focused, relief and rehabilitative programming in Puntland State.

The position holder will serve as liaison for World Vision with the Puntland State Government, local communities, UN and NGOs to promote coordination and information-sharing.

The Senior Projects Coordinator will also work closely with Operations Manager in seeking out influencing opportunities in Garowe to promote child well-being.

The position will work closely with a variety of regional staff in Garowe and field locations and stakeholders to ensure that World Vision programs are fully implemented in a timely manner. The position will work with Project officers/Project coordinators/managers/Technical specialists to mainstream systems for integration into day to day implementation in all field locations, and that WV is adequately represented in all clusters and working groups.

The job holder will ensure operational effectiveness by following up the implementation of action plans arising from meetings, and project visits

The position holder will provide programmatic and operational support to emergency start-ups in terms of assessments, trainings and roll-out of emergency programs.

PROJECT OFFICER II - SHELTER ( BAIDOA)
The position holder will facilitate the roll-out of the construction of shelter activities in World Vision Somalia’s operational areas.
Working closely with Project Manager, the position will ensure that WV Somalia’s community engagement is context sensitive and responsive to the needs of target communities. Using the HAP tools, sphere and other international recognized tools, the position will endeavour to ensure WVS’s programming is well informed regarding the vulnerability contributors, cultural behaviour and norms and community resources (particularly human capacity) of target communities and that our programming contributes to improved community capacity.
