The International Rescue Committee has been working in Somalia since 2006, providing essential services to conflict and disaster-affected communities. The IRC has been operational in South Central (Mudug, Galgadud, Banadir and Nugaal) regions of Somalia, implementing interventions in the areas of Livelihood, WASH and Health, GBV, Governance and Rights reaching out to more than 200,000 conflict and drought-affected population in these regions.
Scope of Work
Reporting to the Pharmacy Technician, the Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of services related to the daily operation of a pharmacy under the direct supervision and guidance of the pharmacy technician.
Qualifications
  1. Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology equivalent, preferably with technical knowledge in drug supply chain management systems and quality assurance.
  2. Registered by the relevant and credible body or graduated from an accredited institution
  3. Minimum three (3) years working experience in a hospital/health facility set-up.
  4. Fluent in English and Somali.
Required Competencies:
  1. A mature person of high professional discipline and moral integrity.
  2. Competent to work under stress as the situation may dictate.
  3. Ability to work with displaced communities with diverse cultural and ethnic background.
